Q: What are your hours?

Our fluid power shop and parts store, located at 1407 Dugald Road is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm.

Our hose and fittings shop, located at 249 McPhillips Street, is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Our machine shop, located at 1417 Dugald Road, is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Parr Metal Fabricators located at 717 Jarvis Avenue, is open Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am to 11:00 am

Q: What are your shop rates?

Our shop rates differ based on what service, or services, you’re looking for and we will happily put together a precise quote for any job you have.

Q: Will you come to our site to troubleshoot our equipment?

Yes, we do site visits to service and/or assess your equipment.

Q: How far will you travel to service my equipment?

Our typical service radius includes all of Manitoba, eastern Saskatchewan into northwestern Ontario. We've also provided service in Alberta, so give us a call and let us know what you have in mind!

Dynamic Fluid Power

Q: Do you repair telescopic cylinders?

Yes, we repair telescopic cylinders, with the exception of telescopic dump cylinders which are typically irreparable.

Q: Do you repair hydraulic pumps and motors?

We can repair most hydraulic pumps and motors brought to us. Sometimes a component is too old and replacement parts are unavailable, but our technicians are experts at finding solutions for most repair jobs.

If your pump, motor, valve, or cylinder can’t be repaired, we will try to code a new one, find a rebuilt unit, or source a close alternative, ensuring it’s suitability.

Q: Can you design hydraulic systems?

Yes, we have in house engineers with extensive experience in designing custom hydraulic systems, as well as pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Q: What kinds of parts do you carry?

We have a well-stocked Parker Hannifin store at our 1407 Dugald location and our parts team is always around to help you find what you need. If we don’t have something on hand, we can likely order it in!

We also have a hose and fittings store at 249 McPhillips Street.

Q: Why are your parts so expensive?

We stock Parker Hannifin parts in our store and use them for servicing your equipment. Their innovative products are considered state of the art and the most reliable in the industry.  We carry hard to find metric fittings and have the largest inventory in Manitoba.

Q: Do you sell metric and British fittings?

Yes, we carry metric and British fittings and in both cases, we have the largest inventory of difficult to find components in Winnipeg!

 

Q: How long does it take to bring in special order parts?

We have a great network of suppliers and partners that help us source special parts. When it comes to seals, we can get special orders in within 1-2 days! Not everything happens this quickly, but we do our best to minimize lead times and get you up and running as soon as possible.

Q: What are your machine shop capabilities?

A better question might be, what AREN’T our machine shop capabilities?
We have a state-of-the-art shop with CNC, manual machining, and tool and die departments. We offer align boring, grinding, welding, balancing, and pretty much anything else you might need!  Big or small we can machine it all.

Q: Can you do on-site machining?

Yes, we offer the following on-site machining services: line boring, flange facing, milling, welding, dynamic balancing and keyseat machining.

 

Q: Do you do spray welding?

Yes, we do spray welding in addition to TIG, MIG, and stick (arc) welding.

Compressor Sales and Service

Q: What size of compressor should I buy?

The size of compressor you need depends on what you plan to use it for. We will scope your system and provide expert advise on sizing your system and maximizing your Power Smart credit if applicable.

Metal Fabrication

Q: What does Parr Metal manufacture?

Parr is a custom metal fabricator, since 1976. They specialize in tanks, vessels, industrial ducting, pipe spools, smokestacks, large commissioned art projects, and any custom plate and sheet fabrication you can think of.

Q: What are Parr's metal fabrication capabilities?

They tend to specialize in medium to heavy plate fabrication, but have an extensive list of capabilities including: slate rolling, shearing, CNC and conventional braking, angle/channel/tube/beam rolling, saw cutting, and CNC plasma cutting.

Q: How large of a tank can Parr fabricate?

In general, Parr can fabricate tanks that range in diameter from two feet to 17 feet. They also specialize in knockdown style tanks that can be brought to your site in pieces then erected safely and efficiently.

Q: Is Parr Metal Fabricators CWB and ASME certified?

Yes, Parr is CWB certified for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. They are also ASME certified for steel and stainless steel.

Q: What are Parr's safety policies?

Parr is COR Certified and their objective is to maintain an effective program for safe production. The measure of this success is reflected in low accident rates, improved employee morale, and increased productivity.
